He may be ill, but he still loves his ball. So much so that it's a problem getting it back sometimes.
Minutes after this was filmed, Sym took off to the river, splashed in and promptly
dropped his ball.
We watched helplessly as it floated down river.
(my batteries were flat by then)
If you look closely, you might just see the swelling of his throat (his right side)
caused by his cancer.

Poor Sym, but at least he's still able to have a bit of fun. And he's blessed to have you in his life.
ReplyDeleteIt's the other way around!
DeleteThats my boy, Run and fetch Sym. Keep that ball away from Dad.
ReplyDeleteIt's only since he needs to catch his breath that he does that.
DeleteBenno could hardly breathe when he exercised or got excited in the end. It's a week and five days now since he's gone. I couldn't wait any longer, I was terrified that he might choke to death. Still can't bear it that he's gone.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to say to you to make it easier.
Sym gurgles a bit but so far, apart from some panting, he hasn't had great problems breathing. We know he will though.
DeleteSym is a special dog, as was Benno to you, so I hope I will make the right decision at the right time so he doesn't suffer.
Good wishes to Sym.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
