About This Blog

This blog was originally started as a thread on the forum pages of an animal rescue site. Now it's here!

The articles you find in here are purely for entertainment (yours and mine) and (with one or two exceptions) are all tongue-in-cheek chronicles of the World (my bit, anyway) as I see it.
No disrespect is intended towards anyone unless I make a mistake and make it too obvious.

I hope you enjoy my offerings. Feedback and comments of any kind are welcome.

Sym And His Ball

He may be ill, but he still loves his ball. So much so that it's a problem getting it back sometimes.

Minutes after this was filmed, Sym took off to the river, splashed in and promptly
dropped his ball.
We watched helplessly as it floated down river.
(my batteries were flat by then)

If you look closely, you might just see the swelling of his throat (his right side)
caused by his cancer.

  1. Poor Sym, but at least he's still able to have a bit of fun. And he's blessed to have you in his life.

    1. It's only since he needs to catch his breath that he does that.

  3. Benno could hardly breathe when he exercised or got excited in the end. It's a week and five days now since he's gone. I couldn't wait any longer, I was terrified that he might choke to death. Still can't bear it that he's gone.

I don't know what to say to you to make it easier.

    1. Sym gurgles a bit but so far, apart from some panting, he hasn't had great problems breathing. We know he will though.

Sym is a special dog, as was Benno to you, so I hope I will make the right decision at the right time so he doesn't suffer.
