About This Blog

This blog was originally started as a thread on the forum pages of an animal rescue site. Now it's here!

The articles you find in here are purely for entertainment (yours and mine) and (with one or two exceptions) are all tongue-in-cheek chronicles of the World (my bit, anyway) as I see it.
No disrespect is intended towards anyone unless I make a mistake and make it too obvious.

I hope you enjoy my offerings. Feedback and comments of any kind are welcome.

Clover

This is the little lady I now take to the park on her own.
She still looks for Sym.
When she doesn't find him, she falls in behind me
and follows me around the park.

I think maybe she needs doggy company so I shall soon begin to
whine and wheedle until my wife gives in and lets me have another pup!

  1. Getting another dog to keep her company and raise her spirits sounds like a good idea.

  2. Great idea, you and Clover need another friend to keep you both company.
My heart isn't ready yet but once we have moved back to the US and we are settled in our new home, the pup thing will happen again :)
    big hugs to you !

    1. There is always hope, but it will probably be an older dog and (as I said to Loach) it might be only to foster

  4. Mac used to follow me around on our walks till I fostered Stella, that's when he first started coming out of his shell .. then when Holly came into foster he completely changed so hopefully that's what Clover needs is another companion to share her walks with xx

    1. Clover is good, but nervous, around other dogs so it'll have to be the right one

  6. A little bit of bribery helps because Clover definitely needs a companion.

    1. If only I could bribe my wife with cheese in the same way as I bribed Sym into behaving himself ...

  7. You'll never get another Sym, same as I'll never have another Woody. Shame is, in my parents eyes, every dog's behaviour is compared to Woody and found lacking .. :-(
