About This Blog

This blog was originally started as a thread on the forum pages of an animal rescue site. Now it's here!

The articles you find in here are purely for entertainment (yours and mine) and (with one or two exceptions) are all tongue-in-cheek chronicles of the World (my bit, anyway) as I see it.
No disrespect is intended towards anyone unless I make a mistake and make it too obvious.

I hope you enjoy my offerings. Feedback and comments of any kind are welcome.

Sym, Of Whom I am The 'Daddy'!

This is my boy!

Sym
Yesterday we were told that he had lymphoma!

We were devastated as we'd had him since he was a twelve week old pup.

Lymphoma in dogs is treatable and if diagnosed early enough there is a chance
of it going into remission.

At this point we do not know what stage he is in but
we are hopeful that he will be one of the lucky few.

Keep your fingers crossed for him!

  1. I had a photo of him, must have kept it from when Julie did the pictures of all the dogs you'd had and fostered

  6. Here's hoping Sym pulls through ok. Unlike the dog i had when i was only little tacker who was abandoned on the side of the road and died of cancer, the tumour was the size of a fist in her stomach :-(.

  7. Thanks all!

Having a chat with the vet on Tuesday to work out the best course of treatment.

As long as he has a chance and isn't suffering we'll do all we can for him.

He will be six in April and we hope to have him for a few more years yet.

Imagine that though, cancer in our pets...? It's sort of mind bogggling.
    My heart aches for you.

  11. Thank you all for your kind comments.

On Tuesday we'll be getting the "treatment ball" rolling by getting all the info we can about possible treatments.

I will post updates as we progress to a (hopefully) successful conclusion.

  12. I'm sorry I didn't see this. It was posted while I was away.
I am so sorry to hear about your doggy. I hate having to take my pets to the vet. It's just aweful.
Hope he pulls through my friend. (hugs)
