She writes some fairly good stuff that is worth a read even though her talented writings may not seem to be your cup of tea. My comment (above) on the news that she had at last married and was intended as humorous (and as the proverbial cat among the pigeons) to stir up comment. Little did I realise that my semi-innocent comment would provoke as much of a response as it did, both from the lady herself and her following, which appears to be quite big .... er, her following, not the lady herself!.

ReplyDeleteHi, Symdaddy. Thank you for the email, and thank you for responding, both on here and on my post. This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion, and it's silly, really. The reason I posted that piece yesterday was because I genuinely feared that you and other readers actually thought I was some self-loving egoist who had nothing better to do than wax poetic every day about her greatness. I did not mean for it to become the male-bashing that it did. All I can say is that there is a lot of estrogen on my blog, and that's what girls do when we get together. I hope you have a good weekend, and again, thank you.

ReplyDeleteMy ego (I have a large one ... ask anyone) was severely battered by some of the comments posted on your blog. I did brace myself for any fallout my comment may have caused but was very surprised by the volume and ferocity of the support you received.
Rest assured, I was only trying to be a little bit naughty, not put you down in any way.
I'll be wiping bottoms again this weekend, but I hope you have a better one.
